ABOUT SEPTEO ADB
Montepellier-based Septeo ranks among the top ten French software publishers. As Septeo’s real-estate centred branch, Septeo ADB developed management software tailored for estate agents. Their predominantly French and Belgian client base of agencies such as “Century 21” includes estate professionals, property managers and technical surveyors who use the infrastructure daily as they work.
CHALLENGES AND REQUIREMENTS
An alternative to Microsoft RDS was sought to overcome a number of challenges:
- Affordability: RDS costs proved detrimental for Septeo, especially Web enabled.
- Efficiency: Users encountered complexity under RDS Web, for instance transferring files over the sharepoint.
- Security: As with any IT business or organisation, Septeo prioritises security and the integrity of its servers.
Key Requirements:
- An affordable alternative to RDS Web was pivotal, while still retaining high levels of security and efficiency.
- The ease of deployment was a requisite for the IT manager as the teams were to accompany individual agencies during changeover.
- At a later stage, technicians sought to additionally streamline user access , unifying the infrastructure to one Application in full web and make it seamless for end users

RESULTS
TSplus Remote Access implementation fulfilled Septeo ADB’s aims:
- The ADB team quantified savings of over €350,000 annually simply via the RDS to TSplus switch.
- Additional savings of time and staff involvement, stem from increased stability and simplified administration. This is thanks to the resulting streamlined application publication process and simplified desktop access.
- Valued first and foremost, server security a was collateral result: Septeo chose, among TSplus Remote Access app publishing option, to publish only their application.
- Ease of access from any device includes macOS, which was a crucial goal.
- Satisfied Clients provide Septeo with positive feedback overall.
- Streamlined migration was achieved even in a context of small local setups, mounting to over 1600 virtual machines. TSplus wrote specific automation scripts to enable Septeo ADB agents to complete 3000 individual migrations in a matter of months, including local validation and follow up.
